Exiting a sandwich shop and returning to my car, I noticed a middle-aged woman and two children walking through the shopping center parking lot. The trio, about 100 feet ahead of me, walked directly to a dark silver metallic Mini Cooper S Convertible accented by a pair of white racing stripes on its hood.

It was my Mini -- or at least the one I was testing. As I approached the car, I saw them stop in front of it and begin talking and gesturing. Then they started circling the Mini, checking it out from different angles and peeking at its interior.
